Resumen
SUAREZ, Niria y CUEVAS QUINTERO, Luis Manuel. La irrupción de los olvidados: los archivos de la palabra y la emergencia de nuevas propuestas para la historia regional. TF [online]. 2004, vol.22, n.88, pp. 433-448. ISSN 0798-2968.
The controversy posed by the crisis of the so-called "meta-stories" in History has resulted in the emergence of a scenario marked by the demystification of the written word, and the emergence of new sources for historical research. As part of the new trails historians must follow to study the past, the oral sources play a vital role. Overlooked by the historiography that idolizes documents, orality emerges as a base of invaluable memory when writing the history of the people without history and of the places without written past, which are most of the places. This paper reflects on the importance of the oral sources, for both regional and local history, discusses ideas emerged in the heat of the new surge of orality, such as the Museum of the Word and the Museum of the Memory, and the oral Andean culture.
